We have been talking about a focus on outcomes in community services for about a decade but we still haven’t made a wholesale shift to investing this way. What do we mean when we talk about investing in outcomes and why is it so hard to make this change happen?
This workshop will explore these two ideas by defining what an outcomes investment approach is and what it will take for us to get there. We will spend time in the workshop focusing on the next generation of ideas that will help us in this work, in particular what it will take to be a high performing, outcomes focused organisation.
Presented by Belinda Drew, CEO, Community Services Industry Alliance, ‘Investing in Outcomes’ will focus on the following key ideas:
- What does investing in outcomes mean?
- How can this approach benefit non-profits?
- How do we shift perspectives to focus on outcomes?
- Defining new investment processes for non-profits
